Prefixes
A Prefix is a short form, consisting of one or two syllables, used before another form. It modifies the meaning of the word to which it is added. But it does not usually change the part of speech of the word the question.
Here are the most used prefixes in English
Re = (again) as; react , recall, remarry, etc
Un = (not, contrary ) as; unload, unbulton, unlock, etc
In = (not, contrary) as; independent, indirect, informal, etc
Mis = (false, not) as; miscalculate, mismanagement, misconduct, etc
Dis =( not, reversal) as; disagreement, disarm, disclose, etc
Over =(above) as; overpopulation, overcharge, overflow, overtime , etc
Under=(below) as; undergo, undersell, underestimate, etc.
